What is the Sound Dunes Experience?
 

The desert is the place to be. Trust us! Sound Dunes is a new way to experience the desert. When you book a package, you’ll gain access to our exclusive pop-up glampsite in Abu Dhabi. There, you’ll be able to enjoy a full day or night, creating memories and bonding with your fellow travellers and friends!

Lounge around the beautifully designed, Bohemian-themed glampsite and unwind, or you can enjoy some classic games at our entertainment station. When the sun goes down, you’ll get to watch some of your favorite films or even dance the night away! All the while, our professional DJs will be playing some great beats that will make you want to get off your seat!

What About the Food?

After all those games and dancing, we know the food needs to be just right to keep your bellies happy. We're excited to announce we've teamed up with the award-winning Abu Dhabi-based West to West Kitchen, who will be looking after your culinary needs. They'll be bringing their eclectic mix of West African and Caribbean spices, flavour, and vibes to the sandy dunes. 

The menu will include the following favourites: 

• Trinidadian Pholourie and Tamarind Sauce (vegan) - Fried dough, slightly crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside; served with sweet and tangy tamarind sauce. The perfect Trinidadian street food 
• Jamaican Jerk Chicken - Quarter chicken seasoned with Jerk spice for 24 hours; marinated in Jerk marinade for a further 24 hours; barbecued, chopped, and served to perfection. A Jamaican classic
• Caribbean Curry Goat - Succulent goat on the bone, marinated for 24 hours and cooked with potatoes in a delectable Caribbean curry sauce. Be prepared for the spice!
• Sierra Leonean Awojoh Binch (vegan) - A Sierra Leonean, vegan, belly pleaser: Black-eyed beans soaked and softened for 24 hours; boiled to tender for a further hour and then cooked, in aromatic oil, with onions and a hint of bonnet pepper.
• Plantains (vegan) - Although plantains may look like a banana, they're not bananas ... they're plantains! Fried, sweet, and perfect as a side with any dish.
• Jamaican Rice and Peas (vegan) - This is not white rice and green peas. This Jamaican dish is white rice boiled with red kidney beans, herbs, and coconut cream. The smooth, flavoursome rice is the ideal accompaniment for a variety of West African and Caribbean dishes.
• Sierra Leonean Jollof Rice (vegan) - Rice boiled in a rich sauce of onions, tomatoes, herbs, and spices, this is a much-loved meal across all of West Africa.
• WtoW Kitchen Salad (vegan) - A delicious fresh salad served with West to West Kitchen's own vinaigrette 
• Brownies - Not traditionally eaten in West Africa or the Caribbean, but the West to West Kitchen family does love a good brownie dessert: chocolate decadence at its best!

What is the cost of the trip?
There are two packages available, the Full-Day package and the Overnight Package, starting at 400 and 450 AED, respectively. Here are your options:

Full-Day Pass - Without Transportation - 400 AED

This package includes the following

  • A cinematic experience in the evening

Full-Day Pass - With Transportation - 500 AED

This package includes the following

• Activities included in the day pass

This package includes the following

• An overnight pass which gives access to:
  • Everything that a day pass gives you, as well as
  • An amazing night and of dancing and fun
  • A delicious breakfast the following morning
• Does NOT include transportation and tents

Overnight Pass - Without Transportation, With Accommodation - 700 AED

• An overnight pass

How long is the trip?

It’s a full day, and you’ll have the option to stay overnight.

 

With multiple package options, the trip will be however long you want it to be! With a day pass, you’ll be able to enjoy the full-day experience, including games, snacks, and cinema. It’s an amazing way to spend a full day!

With the premium overnight pass, you’ll have access to everything the day pass includes as well as the exciting nighttime dance party and a delicious breakfast the following morning. It’s an overnight experience you can’t miss out on!

What are the sleeping arrangements?
Bring your own tent or book a package with a tent.

If you’re booking overnight, you’ll have a few sleeping arrangement options to choose from. You can choose to bring your own tent if you have one. Otherwise, you can opt to book one of our packages with our premium tents.

How do you watch movies in the desert?

We have an inflatable screen, projector, laptop, and snacks to create a unique cinema experience.

Are pets allowed?

Sorry, we don’t allow furbabies to protect those guests with allergies and sensitivities.
